In today’s episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, the story takes an emotional yet dramatic turn as relationships and hidden feelings begin to surface.
Priyanshu jokingly advises Rihan to get a girlfriend so people don’t misunderstand their friendship. In a surprising confession, Rihan admits that he likes Abhira. This confession leaves Arman furious. Just then, a senior student arrives and informs them that the seniors have called for them. While Abhira refuses to go, Alia and Lavanya convince her to face the seniors. Arman too hesitates, but the boy insists that they can’t upset the seniors.
Soon, Abhira and Arman realize they have been tricked into a ragging session. A girl challenges Arman to propose to any girl in the group, and to everyone’s surprise, he chooses Abhira. The atmosphere turns awkward as another senior asks Abhira to seduce Arman, followed by a demand that they both kiss. The situation becomes tense until the warden arrives just in time, stopping the ragging and ordering everyone to return to their rooms.
Later, Alia and Lavanya gossip about Abhira and Arman’s undeniable chemistry. Abhira clarifies that Arman proposed only because the seniors forced him. Lavanya teases her for blushing, hinting that something might be brewing between them.
Meanwhile, in Arman’s room, Rihan insists that Abhira should be with him. Priyanshu recalls how close Arman and Abhira came to kissing before the warden interrupted. Arman, visibly angry, defends Abhira and warns Rihan never to speak disrespectfully about her. Priyanshu notices Arman’s protectiveness and questions why he’s getting so worked up. As fate would have it, Abhira and Arman later exchange shy glances, clearly flustered by their growing bond.
At the Poddar house, Manisha chooses a saree for Karwachauth, with Vidya helping and praising her choice. However, things get tense when Vidya and Kajal pick the same color saree. Their argument escalates until Kaveri intervenes — cutting the saree in half and instructing both to wear it. She then asks Tanya to begin Karwachauth preparations. Vidya feels hurt, while Kajal argues that Vidya should let the younger generation handle the rituals. The conversation turns heated when Kajal accuses Vidya of being a “flipper,” switching sides between Abhira and Geetanjali. Vidya demands an apology, which Kajal initially refuses, but Kaveri steps in and forces her to apologize.
Back at the hostel, Alia and Lavanya argue, prompting Abhira to calm them down. Later, Myra reveals that she asked Arman to take her to a romantic movie. Abhira jokingly comments that kids nowadays are very smart. Soon, Abhira receives a bouquet, assuming it’s from Arman, and decides to confront him about it.
