Speaking to Siddharth Kannan, Madalsa candidly admitted that she was sometimes hurt by things she heard about herself.
“Sometimes I felt someone is a certain way in front of us but not the same behind our backs. A few times, I heard that things were said about me which were not very polished, and when I got to know, it hurt me,” she shared.
The actress added that she had no personal issues with Rupali. “I have nothing against you; we are actors, and we work together. But if you don’t like me, say it to my face rather than behind my back,” she said, highlighting how those moments genuinely upset her.

When asked about the specific incidents that triggered these feelings, Madalsa clarified that nothing derogatory was said. According to her, such things often happen on big sets where many people are involved, leading to miscommunication.

“We would look into each other’s eyes and know that things were disturbed. Then we would sit together, talk it out, and hug it out. Neither of us took the initiative—it just happened organically. It was always respectful,” Madalsa explained.

After Madalsa announced her exit from Anupamaa, Rupali Ganguly reached out to her. “She texted me afterwards, saying all the best, don’t disappear, stay in touch, and we’ll catch up soon,” Madalsa revealed.
When asked if she would miss Rupali after leaving the show, Madalsa honestly said “no.” However, she quickly added that she would miss the entire cast. “I will miss everyone actually, not just her. These were familiar faces, though not like how you miss your best friends,” she clarified.
