Story Glimpse:
After a long wait of three years, Allu Arjun’s most awaited film Pushpa 2: The Rule has been released in theaters. Directed by Sukumar, it is an action-packed emotional drama that shows Pushpa’s world in more depth.
The story of the film starts from where the first film ended. Pushpa (Allu Arjun) is no longer a laborer but a big smuggler. Her confrontation with SP Bhanwar Singh Shekhawat (Fahad Faasil) gets even more intense. This time Pushpa plans to make Siddappa (Rao Ramesh) the Chief Minister and for this she is ready to try every trick. Meanwhile, her elder brother’s family also gets caught in trouble. There are many twists in the story which keep the audience engaged.
Positive aspects (Plus Points)
Allu Arjun’s acting is even stronger in Pushpa 2. This time he has added a depth and maturity to his character, which is even more impressive than the first part. His performance in action and emotional scenes is worth watching.
Director Sukumar has crafted the character of Pushpa very meticulously. He and Allu Arjun together have made it a great cinematic experience.
Rashmika Mandanna has impressed the audience a lot through her emotional dialogues in the second part of the film.
Fahad Faasil has played an even bigger role this time. He fits the role of a crazy, eccentric police officer perfectly. The confrontation between him and Allu Arjun thrills the audience. The action sequences of the film are choreographed brilliantly, especially the jathara scene and the climax fight. These scenes garner applause in the theatre. Devi Sri Prasad’s background score is amazing, which further enhances the emotional depth of many scenes. Supporting actors like Jagapathi Babu, Rao Ramesh and Brahmaji have also done justice to their characters. Negative Aspects (Minus Points): If you are expecting a strong story, then Pushpa 2 may seem a bit weak. The family track in the second half changes the direction of the story, creating confusion about Pushpa’s larger vision. The screenplay seems slow in parts, especially in the first half. Some scenes seem unnecessary and the dialogues are also not that impressive. Talking about the songs, this time the songs do not leave much impact as compared to the first film. Although Souseki is a good romantic-emotional track, Kissik fails to live up to the expectations of the audience. The cliffhanger of the film seems a bit weak, which does not create the excitement that the audience should have for Pushpa 3.
Technical Aspects:
Sukumar’s story may be simple, but he has crafted some powerful scenes. The screenplay of the first half would have been more effective if it was a bit tighter.
Devi Sri Prasad and Sam CS have brought life to the background score. Cinematographer Miroslav’s camera work is tremendous, especially in the action scenes.
Editor Naveen Nooli has done good editing, although some scenes in the first half could have been shortened. The production quality is excellent.
Verdict
Overall Pushpa 2: The Rule is a strong film that lives up to the expectations of the audience. Allu Arjun’s acting is excellent in the action and emotional scenes. Fahadh Faasil’s role is also strong and Rashmika Mandanna has also done a good job. Despite a few weaknesses, the film has a balanced runtime and is a must-watch.
If you are a fan of an entertaining film, then Pushpa 2 should be your first choice this weekend.
