The latest episode of Mangal Lakshmii begins with Mangal carefully placing Kusum’s jewellery inside Kusum’s locker. She locks both the jewellery locker and the food cupboard, then hides the keys safely under the bed. Unknown to her, Neel secretly observes every move she makes. Once Mangal leaves the room, Kusum arrives home.
Mangal offers Kusum a glass of water and tells her that her jewellery has been delivered and kept safely in the locker. Kusum expresses concern, saying they should keep it in the bank since it’s risky to store such valuable jewellery at home. Mangal suggests they can visit the bank the next day. When Sowmya enters the house, Kusum decides to handle the matter herself the following morning. Meanwhile, Sowmya feels it will not be easy to erase Kusum’s affection for Mangal.
Neel Steals the Jewellery
Late at night, Neel sneaks into the room and steals the jewellery while everyone is asleep. Ishana wakes up to get some water and senses someone’s presence near the grandparents’ room. She checks inside, but Neel hides before she can see him. Once Ishana leaves, Neel quietly escapes with the jewellery.
Family in Shock After Theft
The next morning, Kusum calls everyone together and announces that all her jewellery has been stolen. The family is left stunned and begins to panic. Neel arrives and questions the chaos, pretending not to know what’s happening. Ishana shares that she sensed someone in the grandparents’ room last night and now fears her suspicion was right.
Adit intervenes and asks everyone to calm down, while Kusum tearfully reveals that it was her wedding jewellery that was stolen. Adit suggests they search the entire house. Neel grows tense, fearing he’ll be caught if anyone finds the stolen items on him. Despite the search, the jewellery is not found. Adit decides to call the police, but just then, an earring falls from Neel’s coat.
Kusum Lies to Protect Neel
Kusum notices the earring but quickly stops Adit from calling the police. To protect Neel, she fabricates a lie, saying she had actually kept the jewellery in the bank locker earlier that morning. Mangal questions when Kusum went to the bank since she didn’t see her leave, but Kusum insists she did and asks everyone to drop the matter. Kusum then shoots a warning glance at Neel before walking away.
Later, in private, Kusum scolds Neel for stealing from his own house. Neel falls to her feet, crying and claiming he only did it to pay for his mother’s medical treatment. He begs her to understand his situation, saying no one would have believed him if he had asked for help. Kusum tells him his intentions may have been good, but his actions were wrong. Neel promises never to repeat his mistake and clarifies that he didn’t sell the jewellery for fun or luxury. Moved by his plea, Kusum tells him he can always ask for help instead of taking the wrong path.
Unbeknownst to them, Sowmya overhears their conversation and realises Kusum is trying to protect Neel. Seeing an opportunity to create trouble, she smirks to herself, planning her next move.
Mangal Discovers the Truth
While doing laundry, Mangal finds a jeweller’s receipt worth ₹3 lakhs in Neel’s jeans pocket. The slip reveals that Neel sold the jewellery. Shocked, Mangal realises Kusum was lying to save Neel. When Mangal confronts Neel about it, Adit enters and demands to know what’s going on. Mangal accuses Neel of selling the stolen jewellery, but Kusum immediately steps in to defend him, asking Mangal to stop making false accusations.
Precap: Sowmya’s Revenge Plan
In the upcoming episode, Sowmya decides to use Neel to take revenge on Mangal. She deliberately scatters some items near the couch and pretends to slip on them. The family rushes her to the hospital, where Adit angrily asks Mangal and Kusum who placed those items there. Neel tries to confess, but Mangal stops him and accuses Sowmya of doing it herself. A furious Adit warns Mangal that if anything happens to his unborn child, he will not forgive her.
