The latest episode of Jhanak (17th October 2025) beautifully captures Jhanak’s emotional evolution, highlighting her courage, self-respect, and determination to build a life on her own terms.
Jhanak’s New Beginning
The episode opens with Jhanak sharing her plans to open a clinic in Simulboni after completing her medical studies. Her dream reflects her deep sense of purpose and compassion for her village. She is determined to serve her community and move beyond her past.
Sakhi, curious about Rishi, asks if he had come to visit. But Jhanak, calm and composed, advises her to call him directly if she wants to know. She clearly states that she has moved on and doesn’t wish to discuss him anymore.
When Sakhi brings up Rishi’s second marriage to Aditi, questioning how he could do it, Jhanak replies with remarkable maturity. She admits she has no claim over him and that forcing Rishi into marriage was wrong. With grace and acceptance, Jhanak says Rishi made the right choice by marrying Aditi. There’s no bitterness in her words—only peace and clarity.
Letting Go of the Past
Mangal, puzzled by Rishi’s previous kindness, asks Jhanak why he behaved so well with her. Jhanak explains that she had asked him to be polite and reveals a hard truth—she never accepted Rishi as her husband. Their marriage, she says, lacked love, trust, and any true connection.
The revelation shocks Parashar, who struggles to process that Jhanak never saw Rishi as her life partner. Jhanak firmly tells everyone that her focus is now her studies and urges them to stop discussing Rishi.
Parashar, proud of her strength, reassures her of his complete faith in her moral judgment. Their bond of mutual respect and affection shines through as Jhanak admits she missed him deeply. Dhamu, trying to help, offers to bring Rishi if she wishes to reconcile—but Jhanak refuses. She asserts that no one should live in a forced marriage, even if traditions or society expect it.
When Kanka mentions the vermilion ritual Rishi performed, Jhanak calmly responds that the law does not recognize forced marriages without consent—a powerful reminder of her self-worth and independence.
Tensions in Rishi’s Household
Meanwhile, the scene shifts to Rishi’s home, where Aditi arrives with Arshi and Rishi himself. Abhimanyu welcomes them warmly, thanking Arshi for convincing Aditi to visit. Arshi explains that Rishi’s apology was the only reason Aditi agreed to come.
Aditi, though cautious, is ready to give Rishi one last chance. Rishi, relieved that Jhanak has moved away, hopes to rebuild peace in his marriage. Tanushri mentions that even if Jhanak returns to Kolkata, she won’t interfere with their household again.
Aditi senses Rishi’s lingering guilt and asks him to stop overthinking and focus on their relationship. Neelu advises Rishi to let go of his ego, reminding him that not everything was his fault. Aditi insists that Rishi must stop giving importance to Jhanak and her family, wanting to safeguard her marriage and emotional space.
Family Divisions and Decisions
Back in Simulboni, Dadabhai proudly says that Jhanak doesn’t need anyone’s help—she will soon earn a scholarship through her hard work. Meanwhile, Arshi and Rishi discuss Jhanak’s possible return to Kolkata. Rishi admits that even if she does, they can’t stop her, but Arshi insists the family must cut all ties with her.
Rishi agrees, declaring that his focus will now only be on Aditi and his family. But Aditi, still insecure, warns him not to let his emotions for Jhanak resurface, fearing it could damage their marriage. Tanushri supports her, saying that Jhanak’s name should never be mentioned again in their home.
In another corner, Indumati warns Putul not to talk about Jhanak anymore. But Putul argues that Jhanak still has certain rights. Neelu, however, dismisses her, saying such talks only create unnecessary trouble. Abhimanyu supports Neelu, while Arshi firmly instructs everyone not to comment on Rishi and Aditi’s decisions.
Dadabhai mediates, reminding everyone that Rishi’s wish to cut ties with Jhanak should be respected. Rishi then assures Aditi that he is fully committed to her, while Arshi and Neelu remind him that this is his final chance to make things right.
Jhanak’s Emotional Closure
Back in Simulboni, Parashar wonders aloud why Rishi could not appreciate Jhanak. But Jhanak, ever calm, replies that not everyone is destined to love or accept her—and that’s okay. Parashar warns that Rishi might regret it one day, but Jhanak refuses to dwell on the past. Her focus remains on serving the people and continuing her studies.
Parashar instructs her to stay away from Rishi completely, and Jhanak promises she will never reach out to him again. When Mangal angrily says he would have harmed Rishi if he’d visited, Jhanak firmly tells him to stop. Her composure and strength in this moment prove how much she has grown.
As the family prepares dinner, Jhanak takes a quiet moment alone. She reflects that she doesn’t want to see Rishi ever again—closing that chapter of her life for good.
A New Chapter Begins
The episode ends on an empowering note. Jhanak stands tall as a woman who has chosen her independence, education, and duty to society over emotional pain. Her story contrasts deeply with the chaos in Rishi and Aditi’s relationship, making it clear who truly holds strength, dignity, and peace.
Precap:
In the next episode, a teacher plans to invite Rishi to an event honoring Jhanak’s achievements, while Aditi assures Rishi that nothing can come between them. New emotional challenges seem to be on the horizon for all.
