The Jhanak 16th November 2025 episode begins with Arshi angrily telling Aniruddh that this is the day Jhanak will finally lose everything. Meanwhile, Dev confronts Ayush about helping Jhanak. Dev feels the situation escalated only because the media got involved. When he questions Ayush about whether he has feelings for Jhanak, Ayush replies that he only admires her innocence. He explains that he supported her because she is a fighter, though students misunderstood his intentions. Dev advises him to think about himself first since the media has video evidence of the incident. Their conversation ends with Dev saying the decision now lies with the principal.
College Meeting: Jhanak on the Edge
A tense meeting follows, where the principal harshly scolds Jhanak for bringing shame to the college. He explains that Aditi approached him seeking justice after Jhanak publicly claimed that Rishi, Aditi’s husband, was actually her own husband. The principal asserts that neither students nor faculty want Jhanak or Ayush to continue studying there. He even mocks Jhanak for using Indrani’s influence to secure admission.
The dean then asks the professors and students what action should be taken. When he suggests rustication, one professor argues that an inquiry committee should investigate before any final decision is made, since only students were present at the party and the full truth is unknown.
Aniruddh insists the video speaks for itself, but Dev counters that only the locked room is shown, and no one knows what occurred inside. Ayush claims he took Jhanak to the medical room because she felt unwell. Despite this, the principal refuses to consider any explanations and announces his decision to rusticate both Jhanak and Ayush. Jhanak breaks down in tears.
Rishi Withdraws Support From Jhanak
The dean asks Rishi directly whether he is Jhanak’s husband. Rishi firmly states that Aditi is his wife, and he cannot have two wives. Aditi quickly explains to the dean that Jhanak and Rishi were forced into marriage and that the relationship holds no value now.
The dean then questions Rishi’s role as Jhanak’s local guardian. Rishi admits he only accepted the position because she was bright and he wanted her to study. However, he now decides to withdraw his name as her guardian. He even urges the principal to punish her. Aniruddh adds that Jhanak attempted to destroy Aditi’s married life.
A professor intervenes, requesting that personal issues not influence academic decisions. She suggests finding out who locked the medical room from the outside and insists the inquiry committee should determine the truth.
Jhanak Speaks Up, but No One Believes Her
When Jhanak pleads for CCTV footage to be checked, Mishti denies her claims and accuses her of drinking willingly. Arshi calls Jhanak mad, and the principal labels her dangerous. Jhanak insists she trusted the wrong people—Mishti and her friends—who deceived her.
Ayush supports her, telling everyone that Mishti and her friends instructed him to take Jhanak to the medical room and that they likely locked the door from outside. The professor reiterates that the inquiry will give a fair verdict.
Jhanak then emotionally begs Rishi not to withdraw his name as her local guardian. She believes the dean will throw her out if Rishi steps back. But Rishi coldly pushes her away and scolds her, accusing her of tarnishing his name. Ayush urges him not to treat Jhanak so harshly, while Dev condemns Rishi for physically pushing her.
Heartbroken, Jhanak declares that she came to Kolkata alone and will fight alone. If she loses, she will return to Simulboni. She leaves her fate to destiny.
Rishi’s Hidden Feelings Surface
Later in the cafeteria, Rishi confides in Sanjhbati. He says he supported Jhanak because he saw great potential in her and hoped she would become a doctor who inspires young girls. Sanjhbati tells him he is not being honest with himself—he cares for Jhanak more deeply than he admits. She believes his anger and possessiveness come from love, not duty.
