Housefull 5 Box Office Collection Day 8: Akshay Kumar’s multi-starrer comedy film Housefull 5 may have had a great opening, but now the film seems to be losing its grip at the box office. Directed by Tarun Mansukhani and produced by Sajid Nadiadwala, the film saw a twist of two climaxes, which initially created a lot of buzz among the audience. However, now the Housefull 5B version is being removed from several places due to slow pace, as reported by Bollywood Hungama.

The film had a great opening, but now the collection has started to drop
The film, which released worldwide on June 6, 2025, hit the theatres with its two versions – Housefull 5A and 5B. Though the film dominated the ticket counters in the first week, the second week did not do very well. The comedy of the film received mixed reactions on social media – some praised its ‘slapstick’ comedy, while some called it ‘cringe’.

When the film was announced, it was its star cast that grabbed the attention of the audience. The star cast of Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, Johnny Lever, Jacqueline Fernandez, Shreyas Talpade, Sanjay Dutt, Jackie Shroff, Sonam Bajwa, Fardeen Khan, Dino Morea, Chunky Panday, Chitrangada Singh, Nana Patekar, Soundarya Sharma and Ranjeet made this comedy drama even more special.
According to a report in SunnyLuck, the film had a blockbuster opening of ₹24 crore on the first day. The first weekend also saw a good growth in the collections. The film performed well till Monday, but the number of viewers started declining from Thursday.

Housefull 5 collection dropped further on the second Friday. According to SaccNilc, the film earned around ₹6 crore (estimated) on the eighth day. Thus, the total collection of the film so far has become ₹133.25 crore.

According to SaccNilc’s report, the film’s total Hindi occupancy on 13 June (Friday) was 11.71%.

Conclusion
Despite a great start, Housefull 5 now seems to be struggling at the box office. The drop in the beginning of the second week clearly shows that the audience’s interest is now waning. In such a situation, it will be interesting to see how much the graph of the film goes down in the coming days or whether it is able to make a comeback or not.
