Sinners grossed $19.2M on Friday, while the figure fell just 14% to $16.5M on Saturday – which is better than the expected drop of 24-34%. The Minecraft movie grossed $15.8M on Saturday, a drop of just 1%.
IMAX Sets New Horror Film Record
Sinners has become the highest grossing horror film ever in IMAX. 45% of its total weekend collection came from the premium format, with IMAX contributing 20%. It joins the top 10 IMAX films which include Interstellar, Oppenheimer and Dune 2.

The top 10 theatre locations where the film grossed the most include AMC Lincoln Square in New York, AMC Universal CityWalk in Los Angeles, Regal Atlantic Station in Atlanta and AMC Metreon in San Francisco.
The top cities include Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, Dallas, Chicago, Washington DC, Houston, San Francisco, Philadelphia and Toronto – most cities witnessed higher than usual share.
