The latest episode of Mangal Lakshmii begins with an emotional moment as Neel confides in Kusum that no one in the family seems to accept him. He feels unwanted and says it’s as though he was never meant to have a family. Neel recalls his previous birthday when he was slapped, his friends were thrown out, and he felt humiliated. This year too, things haven’t changed — it’s his birthday again, yet only Ishana’s friends visited, and she introduced him merely as her cousin brother. Neel sadly admits that while Mangal treats Ishana like her own daughter, he feels like an outsider in his own home.
When Mangal overhears Neel’s words, she tells him to stop pretending and reminds him that he knows what he did wrong. Neel insists she’s still scolding him and declares that he will leave the house. Kusum quickly stops him, saying, “You are the eldest son of this family, Neel, and you’ll stay here.” But Neel argues that he’s the reason for all the problems in the house, so it’s better if he goes. He recalls that when his friends caused trouble, Mangal threw them out — and now she’s doing the same with him.
Kusum pleads with Neel not to leave. She tells Mangal that Ishana also made a mistake by calling Neel her cousin. Mangal tries to justify Ishana’s behavior, but Adit steps in and firmly says, “Enough. Neel will stay here, and that’s final.” Kusum then sends Neel back to his room.
Later, Kusum tells Mangal that she shouldn’t have slapped Neel in front of his friends. Mangal defends her actions, saying Neel’s behavior toward Ishana was unacceptable. But Kusum argues that Neel might have just been mischievous and not malicious. She explains that Neel has been away from them for too long and may not have received proper guidance. She reminds Mangal that Neel is her biological son and that she should stop treating him like an outsider. Adit too tells Mangal to stop differentiating between the children — she easily forgives Ishana’s mistakes but is always strict with Neel. Hearing this, Ishana leaves the room in tears.
Meanwhile, Sowmya brings ice cream for Neel, but he refuses it. She comforts him, saying it’s hard to stay angry for long and that she understands how difficult it is to bear Mangal’s scolding. She cunningly advises Neel to apologize to Mangal once, saying that doing so will resolve everything and win him the family’s love again. Manipulated by Sowmya’s words, Neel agrees.
Soon after, Neel kneels before Mangal and apologizes sincerely. He promises that he will not make any more mistakes. Sowmya proudly shows Kusum that Neel is behaving well. Mangal, however, thinks Neel is pretending, but Neel insists that he is truly sorry. He admits that he hurt Ishana and vows to follow Mangal’s rules from now on. Kusum asks Mangal to forgive him.
At the same time, Sowmya visits Ishana and encourages her to come out of her room and celebrate her birthday with everyone, saying that the family loves her dearly. Back in the living room, Mangal finally forgives Neel and hugs him, warning him not to repeat his mistake again. Ishana comes out at that moment, sees the hug, and claps sarcastically.
Ishana confronts Mangal, saying she never expected her mother to change so easily. Kusum tries to explain that Neel has apologized, but Ishana argues that Neel publicly insulted her in front of her friends and doesn’t deserve forgiveness so soon. Mangal says that parents always forgive their children’s mistakes and asks Neel to apologize to Ishana as well. But Neel refuses, saying, “Mom, I got your forgiveness. I don’t need to say sorry to Ishana.”
Heartbroken, Ishana says, “You always stood for what was right, but now you’re defending your son. I hate you.”
Meanwhile, Sowmya pours acid on a plant and smirks, saying, “I’ll use your children against you, Mangal. I’ll make you feel lonely, just like I once did.”

Mangal tells Adit that she plans to move to Mussoorie with the kids. But Kusum objects, saying, “You can go with Ishana, but Neel will stay here with us.”
