A 43-year-old man is in critical condition after being struck by a car on Saturday night in North Haven, according to local police.
Authorities said the man was out walking his dog when the accident occurred. Sadly, the dog was killed at the scene.
The victim sustained life-threatening injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for emergency treatment. His condition remains critical.
Police confirmed that the driver involved in the North Haven car accident turned themselves in shortly after the incident. The driver is said to be cooperating fully with investigators as they work to determine the circumstances leading up to the crash.
