New Delhi, September 24, 2025 – A shocking case of alleged sexual harassment has come to light at Shri Sharda Institute of Indian Management (SRISIIM) in Delhi. The accused, Swami Chaitanyanand Saraswati alias Parth Sarathi, has been accused of exploiting and harassing female students, particularly those enrolled under the EWS scholarship scheme.
According to the complaint, the accused not only sent obscene WhatsApp and SMS messages to students but also attempted to establish inappropriate physical contact. Several female faculty members and administrative officials allegedly pressured the victims to remain silent and comply with the accused’s demands.
Complaint Filed in August 2025
On August 4, 2025, P.A. Murali, administrator of Shri Sringeri Math and its properties, filed a complaint at the Vasant Kunj North police station. The report highlighted that the accused used his influence within the institution to harass students both mentally and physically.
The FIR stated that faculty members and certain administrators acted as enablers, coercing the victims into silence. This created a hostile and unsafe environment for female students pursuing their PGDM course.
Testimonies of Students
During the investigation, police recorded the statements of 32 female students. Out of them, 17 students confirmed instances of sexual harassment, obscene language, and threatening behavior.
Many students revealed that whenever they resisted, faculty and staff continued to put pressure on them. Investigators noted that the harassment was not an isolated incident but a long-standing pattern of abuse.
Police Investigation and Legal Action
The case has been registered under multiple sections at the Vasant Kunj North Police Station. Authorities conducted raids at the institute premises as well as the accused’s residence. CCTV footage, NVRs, and hard drives were seized and sent to a forensic lab for detailed examination.
Statements of 16 victims were also officially recorded under Section 183 BNSS before the JMFC, Patiala House Court.
Despite extensive efforts, Swami Chaitanyanand remains absconding. Police have assured that arrest attempts are ongoing and no leniency will be shown in the matter.
Fraudulent Diplomatic Car Exposed
During the investigation, police discovered a Volvo car in the institute’s basement, bearing a fake diplomatic number plate (39 UN 1). The vehicle, allegedly used by the accused, has been seized for further inquiry.
Officials stressed that this case is highly sensitive, not only due to the nature of the allegations but also because of the fraudulent practices linked with the accused.
Police Statement
Investigators confirmed that evidence includes:
- Victims’ testimonies
- CCTV footage
- Forensic evidence from seized devices
- Proof of fraudulent vehicle registration
Authorities emphasized that the accused will be brought to justice, and strict legal action will follow. The police assured that the safety of the students remains a top priority and that no compromise will be made in the judicial process.
