Jhanak’s Friends Tease Her About Rishi
The episode opens with Jhanak’s friends teasing her about her closeness with Rishi. While they joke about their romance, Jhanak firmly asks them to stop since she wants to focus on her studies. One of her friends warns her not to change after joining a city college, but Jhanak assures them she plans to complete her education in Simulboni itself.
Rishi Confronts His Family
Meanwhile, Aditi pressures Rishi to reveal the truth about what happened in Simulboni. Rishi tells his family that the villagers misunderstood his bond with Jhanak and assumed they were a couple, which forced them to share a room. Abhimanyu questions why Rishi didn’t return with Aditi.
Rishi explains that Jhanak missed meeting her mother for the last time because of him, so he stayed to support her. He clarifies that nothing inappropriate happened between him and Jhanak. While Aditi complains about the humiliation she faced, Rishi reminds her that trust is more important than accusations.
Tension Between Rishi, Aditi, and Aniruddh
Aditi argues that if Rishi were in her position, he would also feel betrayed. But Rishi strongly defends Jhanak and says calling her characterless was wrong. Aniruddh questions why Rishi is protecting Jhanak so much, and their heated exchange worries the family.
When Aditi demands answers, Rishi refuses to share details, saying it’s between him and Aniruddh. This leaves Aditi confused, and Aniruddh tells her to take her time to decide about the marriage.
Jhanak and Rishi’s Emotional Conversation
Later, Rishi calls Jhanak after reaching Kolkata to check if she had eaten. He motivates her to study hard to secure a seat in medical college. While Jhanak dreams of becoming a doctor, she worries about fees. Rishi assures her not to stress about money.
Her friends again tease her during the call, which Rishi overhears. When Jhanak asks him what he wanted to say, Rishi tries to reveal that his marriage with Aditi has been postponed. However, Jhanak tells him she cannot attend the wedding because of her exam and reminds him to keep Aditi happy since he loves her. She then disconnects the call, breaking down in tears.
Rishi and Aditi’s Strained Relationship
The next day, Rishi visits Aditi’s house. He admits that his decisions created distance between them but also confesses that Jhanak is his responsibility, and he cannot walk away from it. Aditi, hurt and frustrated, asks why he cannot let go of Jhanak.
