In the latest episode of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai (25th August 2025), high-voltage drama unfolds as tragedy strikes Abhira and the Poddar family.
The episode begins with a man introducing himself as a doctor. He checks Anshuman and declares that he is no more. Shocked, Abhira refuses to believe him and desperately pleads for help. In tears, she decides to take Anshuman to the hospital, convinced that the doctors will save him.
Meanwhile, Arman regrets marrying Geetanjali. He feels that even if he hadn’t married her, she would have still tried to create distance between Abhira and Myra. Broken with guilt, Arman admits his love for Abhira and even decides to harm himself.
Back with Abhira, she cries and begs Anshuman to wake up. She reminds him that Myra still needs him and that she cannot raise her daughter alone. In an emotional moment, Anshuman’s soul speaks to Abhira, thanking her for being with him in his last breath. He asks Myra to live her life freely, reminding her that even healthy people cannot escape death. Abhira, however, continues to deny his passing.
Soon, Arman reaches home. Kaveri and Vidya try to tell him that Anshuman and Abhira were never married, but he refuses to listen. Abhira then calls the Poddars and informs them about Anshuman’s death. Hearing the news, Arman rushes to be by her side.
At the Poddar house, Tanya notices everyone crying and demands to know the truth. The family remains silent until Myra questions Abhir if Abhira forgot her after marrying Anshuman. Abhir consoles her, but when he learns about Anshuman’s death, he is left shocked.
The police arrive and take Anshuman’s body for postmortem. They begin questioning Abhira, but Arman interrupts the investigation to protect her. Tanya once again demands answers, and finally, Manisha reveals the heartbreaking truth—Anshuman is no more. Tanya refuses to believe it and recalls how Anshuman had reacted similarly after their parents’ death.
Arman asks the inspector to continue the questioning later. He tells Abhira to cry her heart out, admitting that no words can lessen her pain.
Elsewhere, Geetanjali waits for Arman to return. Digambar advises her to stop waiting and let him go, but she refuses to give up on him.

Precap: The inspector arrests Abhira on suspicion. Determined to fight back, Abhira decides to handle her own case, but Arman steps in and files for her bail, choosing to represent her in court.
