RailOne Indian Railway Super App: How to download, features and benefits
Indian Railways has launched a super app named RailOne for its passengers on 1 July 2025. This app brings all the facilities related to railways on a single platform. Passengers can easily download it from Android Play Store or iOS App Store. Ticket booking, PNR status tracking, ordering food in train and many facilities will be available at one place with RailOne app.
Why is RailOne app special?
Indian Railways has launched RailOne app with the aim that passengers do not have to wander on different apps or websites. It is a one-stop solution in which all the necessary services have been added in a user-friendly interface.
With RailOne app, passengers can easily book IRCTC reservation, unreserved tickets, platform tickets, track PNR and train status, check coach status and also give feedback from Rail Madad.
How to download RailOne app?
RailOne app can be downloaded by Android users from Play Store and iPhone users from App Store. After installing, passengers can sign in with their old RailConnect or UTSonMobile login.
Special features of RailOne app
- Single sign-on: Now all railway services can be used with a single password.
- R-Wallet: Railway e-wallet facility has been provided in the app, which will make payment even easier.
- Biometric login and mPIN: Users can login securely with biometric or simple mPIN.
- Less storage requirement: Instead of downloading separate apps, all services will be available in a single app.
Major changes in ticket booking system
Indian Railways has made many important changes in its Passenger Reservation System (PRS) for the convenience of passengers. These changes will make ticket booking easy and transparent.
1. New rule for preparing charts
Now the train chart will be prepared 8 hours before the journey. Earlier this time was 4 hours. For example, if the train is at 2 pm, the chart will be prepared at 9 pm the previous night. This will give passengers information about waiting list clearance in advance.
2. OTP based Tatkal booking
Now Tatkal ticket booking will be only for verified users. This rule has come into effect from July 1, 2025 and OTP based authentication will start by the end of July. For this, passengers will have to verify the document with Aadhaar or DigiLocker.
3. New PRS system
More than 40 lakh ticket requests will be processed every minute through the new PRS, whereas earlier this number was 4 lakh. The new booking system will come with a multilingual interface and passengers will also get facilities like fare calendar, choosing favorite seat. Along with this, special arrangements have also been made for patients, students and Divyang passengers.
