PBKS VS GT: In IPL 2025, an exciting match was played between Gujarat Titans (GT) and Punjab Kings (PBKS) at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on Tuesday. Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill won the toss and decided to bowl first.
Gujarat Titans eyeing a comeback
Gujarat Titans, who reached the finals consecutively in 2022 and 2023, finished eighth last season. This time under the captaincy of Shubman Gill, the team will try to improve its performance. The responsibility of batting will be on the shoulders of Gill and Jos Buttler. Apart from this, the team also includes talented batsmen like Sherfane Rutherford, Sai Sudarshan and Shahrukh Khan.

New hopes of Punjab Kings
Shreyas Iyer, who was the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders last year and was successful in leading the team to the title, will try to repeat the same feat for Punjab Kings this time. Apart from Iyer, Punjab’s batting has explosive batsmen like Josh Inglis, Prabhsimran Singh, Marcus Stoinis and Glenn Maxwell.
The all-rounder players of the team include Azmatullah Umarzai, Marco Jensen, Shashank Singh and Mushir Khan. In bowling, Arshdeep Singh, Lockie Ferguson, Kuldeep Sen and Yash Thakur will lead the fast attack, while Yuzvendra Chahal and Harpreet Brar will take charge of the spin department.

The captaincy of Shubhman Gill and Shreyas Iyer will play an important role in this match. While Gujarat Titans would like to forget their previous poor performance and return to the path of victory, Punjab Kings will hope to win their first IPL trophy.
